To be honest, I only wanted to watch it because Helena Bonham Carter mentioned it. Later I saw it on one of those "must see before you die" lists and I heard Woody Allen had written it and I thought: MUST HAZ!
I was definitely not disappointed.
________
Leonard Zelig faced a childhood filled with neglect and abuse. He discovered that people wouldn't do anything bad to him as long as he didn't stand out. Because of this he developed both a physical and a mental way of protecting himself: he acted just like everybody else.
________
When I started watching I was a little afraid that I wouldn't like it, since I normally don't like anything made before 1990 (because a lot of the stories are really predictable.) . Boy, was I wrong. I loved the movie. It is sad, funny and just plain weird all at once. Not one of my favourites (entirely personal taste, not because I think it's a bad movie) but it is close.
