"The past is like a foreign country. Nice to visit, but you really wouldn’t want to live there."
Here it is, my first book review! This is a book based on the series Doctor Who. It's a new adventure, so it's not a bookified episode. It features the Doctor, Amy and Rory.
Author: Jonathan Morris
Release Date: June 23rd 2011
Length: 237 pages
Summary: Mark Whitaker is zapped back to the past by a Weeping Angel after he received a letter from his past self, in which he states that he can save his late wife Rebecca's life if he pays attention. The Doctor thinks it's a bit odd that he is only sent back to only 1994, because the Angels only send people back to times where they can't change anything about the present.
The Doctor finds out that Mark is trying to save Rebecca's life, a thing that will most certainly change the future and cause a time paradox (if his wife doesn't die, he doesn't go back to the past to change it.). Because Angels live on hypothetical time, that would mean that a time paradox would make them a lot stronger.
The rest of the book is a complete Moffat-style mindfuck, so I can't really summarize it.
__________
I loved it. It's easier for a non-native speaker of English to understand an English book than an English tv series.
Also, if I made some spelling errors: I'm at school, writing with a keyboard that was made in the 1990s.
