This is the sixth time I've watched it in one year! I LOVE IT.

Benjamin Barker escapes from his inprisonment on Australia after fifteen years being there on a false charge. He comes back to find out that the judge that sent him to prison has raped his wife, after which his wife poisoned herself and the judge adopted her daughter. After a failed attempt at killing the judge, Sweeney (which is the way he calls himself now) goes mental and decides that he should kill everybody: the rich are too ignorant and they do not deserve to live, and for the poor and sad death will only be a relief.
The meat of the dead bodies is used in meat pies which are sold in the landlady's (by the way, the landlady always had feelings for Sweeney) meat pie shop.

Great movie, very funny, the singing is AWESOME (well of course, it's Sondheim, master of the musical). One of my favourites.
