My friend and I were shopping in one of the biggest film/music/games/merchandise/WTF shops in Amsterdam and it was almost Christmas, so in the spirit of the holidays we decided to each get each other a dvd. I got him Batman: The Movie (with Adam West) and he got me In Bruges. Though I haven't seen Batman: The Movie, I'm preeeetty sure I got the good side of the deal.
IN BRUGES IS AMAZING
________________
Two hitmen, Ray and Ken, are ordered to go to Bruges (it's in Belgium) because Ray accidentally kills a little boy. Ray is extremely depressed about this, to the point where he almost commits suicide. He is stopped by Ken, though Ken had orders to kill Ray because Harry (their boss) wants to stick to his principles.
I won't tell the ending because it's so beautiful and you can only feel how beautiful it is when you see it.

Everything was perfect. The huge amount of swearing (1.18 times fuck/fucking/fucker per minute. So that's not counting the other profanity.), the touching characters, the great actors. Above all, I liked the story because just like in The Godfather you can see that hitmen aren't like robots. They have morals and principles which they stick to.
I especially loved Clémence Poésy. I was afraid (to be honest: prejudiced) that she was going to be the pretty actress who can't really do anything besided being pretty. Boy, was I wrong. I thought she was awesome.
