This is the best Batman movie I've seen so far. Literally, that doesn't mean a lot, since I've only watched three Batman movies. But for the sake of this review, let's pretend I know a lot about Batman and I know a lot about films.
NO SPOILERS THIS TIME BECAUSE I'M TOO LAZY TO WRITE DOWN THE WHOLE STORY AND WHY THE HELL DO I WRITE THIS IN CAPS LOCK?
This is the origin story of Batman. How his character has evolved since his parents' death and how he became interested in fighting crime. It is actually through this film that I became interested in background stories of people, and I became interested in Batman.
Since it was a long time ago that I'd watched it, I decided to watch it again.
The best things about this film:
1. The visual stuff. It's so beautiful. There's one scene where there is a giant flock of bats flying around, and you almost cannot see that it's CGI'd. So I thought that they had just trained a lot of bats to fly in certain ways...HERPADERPADERP
2. The acting/casting. Especially Cillian Murphy. He has the perfect just-a-little-too-fragile-but-still-intimidating look for Scarecrow.
3. The stroy. Though there are a few flaws (Batman leaving someone to die is OK, but he does think that his parents' death was his fault...WHAT?) it is still a beautiful story.

Dr. Jonathan Crane: Outside, he was a giant. In here, only the mind can grant you power.
Rachel Dawes: You enjoy the reversal?
Dr. Jonathan Crane: I respect the mind's power over the body. It's why I do what I do
