Tinkebell is a Dutch artist, who has very controversial ideas: she has made a purse of her own cat, she has threatened to shred sixty small male chicks and she has made a life-size My Little Pony out of a taxidermy horse.
Of course, the first reaction most people have, is: "Is this woman insane?" But a few actually start to think after that: Why is it normal that we make purses out of foxes, seals and minks, but not cats? Why can the bio industry kill little chicks if they're male, but she can't? Why can we shave, brush, train and abuse horses until they look and act more like robots than living animals, but can't she make a dead horse look like a pony from My Little Pony?
Unfortunately, not a lot of people see what she tries to do with her art (which is weird, because with every artwork, she explains how it is actually pro-animal) and they just go on and on, spewing criticism. The worst part is that there are people who have threatened to kill her if she goes on with making her art. I think this is hypocrisy of the highest level. Here you are, claiming that you are against animal cruelty, but you ARE willing to kill another human being.
I, for one, like her art very much, and I hope that she'll get people to understand that we should stop treating animals like products.
